About

About Me

I first became addicted to the internet in 1995, and started teaching myself web design as a hobby while still in high school. I moved to the Bay Area in 1997, and studied web design and multimedia at the Computer Arts Institute of San Francisco. The school closed during the bust, but it taught me so much - web design, digital illustration, sound and video editing, Flash and CD-ROM authoring, all done on Macs using OS 8. After graduation, I ended up designing websites for myself and a few small businesses for the next few years back in Arizona.

In 2003, I decided I was ready for a change so I packed up and moved back out to San Francisco in search of work. There, I met food photographer Frankie Frankeny, who became a client, a partner, and a friend, all the while opening many interesting doors to me and my career. Chances are that I met you through a shared connection with her.

I relocated in April 2008 to Austin, TX, I’m now happily settled here.

For the obligatory list of interests, dislikes, and general junk that end a bio: I am a geek and a dork, an escapist; I have skills with computers that people seem to be jealous of, but don’t realize the isolation and hours spent alone that brought them forth. I enjoy horseback riding and I bond with animals. I like little Japanese toys and will eat all of your candy if given the chance. I let people take a lot of my time. I have met my best friends (and family) through the internet. I have wasted some of the best years of my life on the internet. I hope to give you some of my best work.
